His Last Report
I co-directed with Juliet Forster this epic community production for the York Theatre Royal MainStage. This new piece of writing focussed on the Rowntree’s family legacy of fighting poverty and what it means for us now. It featured a cast of over 100 actors and a 70-strong choir. Less Than Human
This dark science-fiction comedy was a co-production between Out of Character and York Theatre Royal which was devised and performed by artists with lived experience of mental illness. The Yorkshire Post named it as one of its ‘Top 5 Shows to See’
The Barren Author
A fantastical contemporary re-working of ‘The Adventures of Baron Munchausen’ starring Richard O’Brien and Sophie Aldred. The first season won an OffComm Commendation 2020 and was a finalist in the Off-West End (‘Offie’) Theatre Awards 2021. The Second Season released in 2022
Passport to Oblivion
My adaptation of James Leasor’s classic 60’s spy novel which had a stellar cast including George Lazenby, Terence Stamp and Glynis Barber. Winner of Best Drama Special at the New York Festival Radio Awards 2020
Love Bites
I was one of the artists commissioned to write and perform a new work in celebration of the reopening of York Theatre Royal after the Covid-19 Lockdown.
